The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office would like to warn everyone about a scam.
A Pinal County resident contacted PCSO deputies saying they received a call from an individual claiming to be a sergeant with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. The individual used the name of an actual sergeant with our agency. The individual demanded $3000 due to her having a warrant out for her arrest.
Thankfully, the victim refused to give the individual $3000, but they did give them some of her personal info.
As always, law enforcement and the courts will not contact anyone to collect money. We will not ask for money in lieu of issuing a warrant.
Please share this message to your social media community and talk to your family members.
